Activities:

• Your will enjoy a guided walking tour around this beautiful colonial town and visit the main heritage buildings around Antigua such as The Cathedral, San Francisco and La Merced.
• Afternoon free to explore on your own.

Overnight: Antigua – (B)

Activities:

• You will be transferred to a coffee hacienda just a few minutes away from Antigua. Here, you will learn about the processes starting with hand picking the beans all the way to having it ready to serve, from “bean to cup”.
• After the tour your guide will transfer you to Lake Atitlan.

Overnight: Lake Atitlan – (B)

Activities:

• Your guide will take you on a private boat trip to visit two very special and unique towns around Lake Atitlan – San Juan la Laguna and Santiago Atitlan.
• Santiago is home to Maximon, a venerated pagan saint who smokes tobacco and drinks moonshine. He resides in a different house each year.
• San Juan la Laguna is a bit quieter and much less visited and is home to several textile co-ops and art galleries.

Overnight: Lake Atitlan – (B)

Activities:

• Today you will be transferred to Chichicastenango. At your leisure, walk around the bustling market and visit Santo Tomas church. In this 400 year old church, you will witness syncretism, a term which means a mix of two religions.
• After the tour, you will hike to Pascual Abaj, a moderate hike to get to a Mayan Shrine where worshipers gathered regularly to perform ceremonies.
• Transfer to Guatemala City.

Overnight: Guatemala City – (B)

Activities:

• An early transfer will take you to the airport for your short flight to Petén.
• On arrival a representative will transfer you to your hotel for breakfast and time at leisure.
• In the afternoon a guide will transfer you to Yaxhá Archaeological Site for a beautiful sunset tour after which, your guide will transfer you back to the hotel.

Overnight: Yaxha – (B)

Activities:

• Your tour guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel and transfer you to Tikal National Park. Once at the park you will see the layout of the temples, architecture, history, and if you are lucky a few monkeys, parrots, macaws and toucans. Your guide will share common theories of why the Maya disappeared.
• After the tour lunch is served at a restaurant in the middle of the jungle.
• After lunch a private transfer will take you to the airport for your local flight back to Guatemala City. Transfer from the airport to hotel.
