Upon arrival at airport in Peru, you will be warmly met by a representative, who will provide assistance and transfer to your accommodation to check-in.

Activities:

• Depart from Cusco and go on to Urubamba where you’ll have a brief stop, then on to Chillca to start the trekking.
• Have lunch in Miskay with an additional rest of a half hour there after start your trek to the first campsite.
• Along the way you will visit the archeological site called Llactapata.

Overnight: Camp in Yunkachimpa – (L, D)

Activities:

• You will have breakfast early and start trekking to the highest point of the Inca Trail, where you can see different ecological zones and enjoy changing climates.
• Cross the Warmiwanuska pass at 4200 meters above sea level.
• After lunch continue on to the campsite at Paqaymayo and enjoy dinner and a well deserved rest.

Overnight: Camp in Runkurakay – (B, L, D)

Activities:

• Walk approximately 45 minutes up to reach the second pass at 3850 meters above sea level and visit Runkurakay along the way.
• Visit the Sayacmarka archeological group and then go on to the Phuyupatamarka ruins.
• After lunch head to Winaywayna where you will spend your last night.

Overnight: Camp in Winaywayna – (B, L, D)

Activities:

• After an early Breakfast, start on the final leg of the trek to Machu Picchu.
• Arrive at Intipunku where you will have a panoramic view of the Machu Picchu citadel. After a short hike down to Machu Picchu, register and start on our 3 hour guided visit.
• After touring the remains, you will be transferred back to the picturesque town of Aguas Calientes where you spend the night.

Overnight: Aguas Calientes – (B)

Activities:
Early morning rise and after breakfast take a bus up to visit the lost city of Machu Picchu.
An optional hike for the more dynamic persons in the group would be to hike up to Huaynapicchu, the pyramid shape peak that overlooks Machu Picchu.
Late afternoon train back to Cusco. – (B)
