Day 1 Buenos Aires

Upon arrival at airport in Buenos Aires, you will be warmly met by a representative, who will provide assistance and transfer to your accommodation to check-in.

Day 2 Buenos Aires

Activities:

  • Buenos Aires City Tour – Highlights: Plaza de Mayo – San Telmo – La Boca – Retiro – Recoleta – Palermo
  • At the first stop discover the history of May Square, the site of the most important historical events and their protagonists since its foundation: see its surroundings, the most emblematic buildings, and learn all about them. Then enjoy May Avenue and wonder in awe at the oldest residential neighborhood in Buenos Aires: San Telmo. Walk along its cobble-stoned streets and discover its antiques shops and picturesque buildings. Live and feel the original Tango in the neighborhood of La Boca: walk along Caminito Street and enjoy the dancers and souvenir shops. See the mythical Boca Juniors soccer stadium. Contemplate the modernization of the city whilst traveling along Madero Port and its exclusive docks, full of excellent restaurants and large offices. Pass through the Retiro neighborhood and move on to see Palermo and its most exclusive residential area before finally arriving at Recoleta. Once there, discover the final resting place of Eva Peron, “Evita” and wander through Recoleta Cemetery where she is to be found.
  • Tango Show Dinner at Café de los Angelitos.

Day 3 Buenos Aires

Activities:

Day 4 Buenos Aires - Salta

Activities:

  • One way transfer Hotel – Domestic Airport NO Guide, Spanish speaking driver.

Day 5 Salta - Purmamarca

Activities:

  • Full day Salinas Grandes & Purmamarca – Highlights: San Antonio de los Cobres – Salt Flats – Purmamarca – Seven Colours Hill.
  • The trip begins in Salta towards the Tastil Ruins arriving to San Antonio de los Cobres, after a two hours stop for lunch and a short visit the town.
  • We continue our trip along Route 40 crossing one of the most desertic areas of our country. Soon, and already in the province of Jujuy, we arrive to Salinas Grandes (The Great Salt Flat), where the immensity of the area, the white shiny salt invites you to relax and take good shots.
  • We continue down the Lipán Cliff arriving to Purmamarca, one of the typical towns of Humahuaca Gorge with its Seven Colors Hill and the enchantment of the small houses.

Day 6 Purmamarca - Humahuaca - Salta

Activities:

  • Humahuaca Tour – return to Salta.
  • Today, you will visit the Humahuaca Gorge, a natural wonder flanked on either side by mountain ranges, carved expansively by the Grande River, and inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. You will see its landscape of little towns that keep their traditions alive by knitting together ancient history and customs. The excursion encompasses sub-Andean valleys and the towns of San Salvador de Jujuy, Leon, and Yala before you arrive at the gateway of the gorge, and once through, you will visit other small towns.
  • You will finally end up in historic Humahuaca and make stops at its church and city building.

Day 7 Salta - Iguazú

Activities:

  • Transfer to Salta airport. Transfer Puerto Iguazú airport – hotel.

Day 8 Iguazú

Activities:

  • Full day Argentine side falls visit.
  • Iguazú National Park —a total of 55,500 hectares— bears the name of the river serving as northern border, which means “great waters” in the guaraní language. Surrounded by a lush subtropical rainforest, we will find the majestic Iguazú Waterfalls. Its water volume and more than 275 falls places it among the most important and spectacular waterfalls in the world.
  • On different footbridges, we will visit the heart of the waterfalls, appreciating them from different angles.
  • We will visit the lower circuit, and feel part of nature, refreshing ourselves with waterfall drizzle.
  • On the upper circuit, we will stop at different viewpoints, and then reach the balcony at Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat). No doubt, this is the most amazing of all falls: water falls down from 80 meters.

Day 9 Iguazú - Lima

Activities:

  • Day at leisure.
  • Transfer to Foz or Puerto Iguazú airport. Transfer from the airport to the hotel in Lima.

Day 10 Lima

Activities:

  • HALF DAY CITY TOUR COLONIAL & MODERN LIMA – Our guided visit to Lima allows you to see the Historical Center: Plaza Mayor (“Main Square”), the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, the City Hall and old streets with colonial mansions and Moorish balconies.
  • You will also visit an historic convent, an icon of colonial architecture.
  • The tour goes all the way to modern districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, where you’ll appreciate huacas or sacred Inca structures.
  • Also, you will observe the Pacific Ocean coast from the vast seafront.

Day 11 Lima - Cusco

Activities:

  • Transfer from the hotel in Lima to the airport. Transfer from the airport to the hotel in Cusco.
  • HALF DAY CITY TOUR & NEARBY ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES – You will visit the city of Cusco, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and home to a somewhat particular essence. The tour will start at the Koricancha temple, an ancient Inca palace and main worship center of the Sun God, where the order of the Dominicans built an incredible church that can still be seen there.
  • Then, you will tour the Plaza de Armas, where the Cathedral and the beautiful Church of the Society of Jesus, among other colonial buildings, are located.
  • You will then continue the journey to the colonial church of San Cristóbal to enjoy a spectacular view of the city.
  • Afterwards you will go on to the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, an Inca building known for its massive walls of hewn stone, located in a strategic location, on a hill, with a broad view of the city of Cuzco.
  • Later, you will visit the important archaeological complexes of Qenko and Puca Pucara.

Day 12 Cusco

Activities:

  • FULL DAY AUTHENTIC SACRED VALLEY TOUR – Discover the best of the Sacred Valley of the Incas through this route starting on the Inca’s Balcony, a beautiful place with an impressive view of Chinchero ruins and city, where twelve families still preserve their traditional mores, showing you the ancestral way in which they process the wool, and obtain those vivid colors for their textiles.
  • Later, we will arrive to Moray, an impressing pre-Inca greenhouse, then, we will have lunch in a local restaurant.
  • Afterwards, we will get to Ollantaytambo, one of the most monumental architectural complexes of the ancient Inca Empire, one of the few places where the Spanish conquistadors lost a major battle. Very well known for its “andenes” (terraces dug into the slopes of mountains for agricultural purposes), Ollantaytambo was a highly effective fortress, which also served as a temple. Then, we will follow to the town of Ollantaytambo, with narrow cobblestone streets that have been continuously inhabited since the XIII th century.

Day 13 Cusco – Aguas Calientes

Activities:

  • Transfer from Cusco to Poroy station.
  • GUIDED TOUR TO MACHU PICCHU WITH VISTADOME TRAIN, LOCAL GUIDE AND LUNCH – You will arrive to the Aguas Calientes Station in Machu-Picchu where you will be transferred by bus to the top of the mountain and visit the citadel of Machu-Picchu, one of the most renowned examples of Inca architecture, surrounded by lush cloud forest. Lost in history, it was not discovered until 1911 by the American explorer Hiram Bingham.
  • After a guided visit of the ruins, you will have lunch at Sanctuary Lodge.

Day 14 Aguas Calientes - Cusco

Activities:

  • Second entrance to Machu Picchu – includes round trip bus ride, no guide. Morning is free to visit the Machu Picchu archeological complex on your own.
  • Transfer from Poroy station to the hotel in Cusco.

Activities:

  • Transfer from the hotel to the airport in Lima.
