Day 1 Arrive Kota Kinabalu

Upon arrival at airport in Malaysia, you will be warmly met by a representative, who will provide assistance and transfer to your accommodation to check-in.

Day 2 Kota Kinabalu

Activities:

  • Full Day Kinabalu National Park & Poring Hotspring. The jagged granite peaks of Mt. Kinabalu (4095m) towers above one of the most biologically diverse areas in the world. Nominated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, Kinabalu Park is a natural wonder that offers day visitors a glimpse into the fascinating and often unique world of flora within the park. The montane oak-chestnut forest at park headquarters gives way to lowland dipterocarp forest at Poring on the eastern boundary. Trek through the rainforest and witness life in the treetops as you walk along the 100ft high Canopy Walkway (If closed, it will be replaced with a visit to the Tropical Garden).

Day 3 Kota Kinabalu - Sandakan - Sukau Village

Activities:

  • Transfer for flight to Sandakan. Meet upon arrival at the Sandakan Airport preferably on MH 2042 ETA 07:40 or AK 6492 ETA 07:50.
  • Drive for approximately 30 minutes to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center. Proceed to the free roaming area feeding platform. Watch the 1000 hrs feeding of Orang Utans. At this center, observe man’s closest relative the Orang Utan being rehabilitated to become wild in their natural habitat and experience a walk in the Tropical Lowland Dipterocarp Forest of Borneo.
  • 11:00 depart Sepilok and transfer to jetty in Sandakan.
  • 11:45 – take an hour boat cruise up to the Lower Kinabatangan River Sanctuary where you will take your lunch at Abai Jungle Restaurant. This is a wonderful journey of discovery which starts from the waters of Sulu Sea of Sandakan Town through a magnificent scenery of the Mangrove Forest. After lunch, cruise upriver to Sukau village in search of primates especially the Endemic Proboscis Monkeys, birds and other wildlife.
  • Arrive Sukau, check in at Lodge.
  • Late afternoon, take another river cruise to Menanggul River, a small tributary of the Kinabatangan.

Overnight: Lodge – (B, L, D)

Day 4 Sukau Village

Activities:

  • Wake up by the calls of gibbons and hornbills.
  • Early morning, take a river trip to the Ox Bow Lake to observe wildlife and experience the early morning river ambiance of the longest river of Sabah.
  • Return to the lodge for breakfast and free at own leisure.
  • In the late afternoon, another river cruise to search for more wildlife.

Day 5 Sukau Village - Sandakan - Kota Kinabalu

Activities:

  • After breakfast, river cruise down by boat back to Sandakan. Another chance for wildlife sightings with this approximately 2.5 hours journey.
  • Upon arrival at jetty, visit a market before we transfer you to the airport via MH 2047 ETD 12:50 or AK 6494 ETD 13:20.
  • On arrival, meet & transfer to hotel in Tuaran to relax & enjoy the facilities of the Resort .

Day 6 Kota Kinabalu

Activities:

  • Day at leisure

Day 7 Depart Kota Kinabalu

Departure: Pick up and transfer to airport for departure flight. – (B)
